FIBA World Championship 2010 will be held in Turkey from August 28 to 12 September 2010. The event is held in four cities are Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Kayseri.Championship this time is the 16th since the first implementation in Argentina in 1950. A total of 24 countries took part and were divided into four groups.
Group A is filled by Angola, Argentina, Australia, Germany, Jordan and Serbia. Group B completed by Brazil, Croatia, Iran, Tunisia, Slovenia and the USA. In Group C, joined China, Cote d'Ivoire, Greece, Russia, Puerto Rico and host Turkey. While in group D joined Canada, France, Lebanon, Lithuania, New Zealand and defending champion Spain.
Mascot championship this time is Bascat.. Bascat is a cat who no doubt is related to the Van Cat,hence he sometimes behaves a bit like a dog. He is a very close relative of the Van Cat and therefore has a unique look.
No one knows exactly where he really comes from because he is always all over Turkey, he likes to travel, which is why he will be following the Championship in all Host Cities. Like any Van Cat our Cat is Loyal, Loving and Intelligent.Bascat love?
